Loki glanced up at her as she made her way toward the kitchen and he reached out to grasp her arm, yanking her sideways and into his lap, his lips fastening to hers before she had even a second to gasp in response. His arms banded around her, caging her.

Justin Bieber simply can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble.  Police were dispatched this morning to respond to an altercation at a Starbucks in West Hollywood involving some familiar faces.  A barista at the coffee house was apparently confronted by Bieber  when he refused to serve the pop star because he wasn’t wearing a shirt.  “He came in with no shirt on and his pants hanging down and underwear showing and tried to order a caramel apple machiatto.”, said Joey Goldsmith, the Starbucks barista, “I just told him he would have to put a shirt on if he wanted to order.”  That’s when Bieber snapped.  According to the police report Bieber started cussing at the barista and threatening to have his bodyguard, “kick his ass”.

Fortunately for Goldsmith, LA Clippers star Blake Griffin had been enjoying a drink at a table when he witnessed  the altercation and stepped in.  Witnesses at the scene reported that Griffin tried to calm Bieber but the Biebs wasn’t having any of it. There was more yelling, and some pushing and that’s when Griffin smacked Bieber, knocking him to the floor.  “He smacked the shit out of him” said one witness, “then I saw Justin stumble out of the door looking like he was crying.”  Bieber was gone before police arrived at the scene.

"So I know this is kinda outta the blue and all… but… um…. I was thinking…. would you… would you… maybe… uhm…" Darcy hesitated nervously, scared what the answer might be…. when she finished the question it was the a very quiet little voice and wide worried…

Loki sat back in his chair and studied her intensely for a moment. He took in the way she fidgeted, they way she bit her lip hard enough to draw blood, and he could see the cogs in her head turning on every worry and anxiety she was coming up with while she waited his answer. She wasn’t kidding. She was serious. And now she was scared.

"Yes." He said simply then returned to his book. "Now go take that shot I see you’re longing for before you shake yourself to dust."

Such a gentle, kind woman, Loki thought to himself. She acted as if she knew him but he didn’t have a clue who she was and panic immediately set in. Did he know her? Should he have known her? Was she a lover or friend? A sibling perhaps?

"I can’t remember!" His voice rose in octaves and his slender, shaking hands rose to cover his face as the fear sank in and his anxiety took over. "I don’t know who I am!"

Aria noticed his panic and took his hands from his face. “Shh. Deep breaths. You’re going to be fine.” She wanted to tell him that she didn’t know him either but panic would have probably set in even worse than before. She gently stroked his black hair. “I won’t hurt you or anything. I’m just going to care for your injuries. Relax. You’re safe here.”

He wasn’t sure how she defined “safe”, but he wasn’t entirely confident she was telling the truth. There was just something about her eyes that told him she knew more than he let on.

"What about…what about the others on the plane? The other passengers? Did any of them survive?"

Loki looked up from his book, eyes narrowed and brow furrowed, his lips parted on a sharp but quiet inhalation of surprise.

"What did you just say? Repeat it, slowly and clearly."

High in the sky an explosion occurred, deep booms of doom sounding in the air as flames erupted and smoke billowed. A S.H.I.E.L.D. transport had inexplicably broken apart in the sky and large chunks of twisted metal sailed toward the Earth, leaving a trail of smoke and debris in their wake. The…

Aria took a look out of the window while doing the dishes in the kitchen. To her utter horror, the sky was darkened with smoke and pieces fell from the sky. She didn’t know from what or where the pieces had came from. She felt the earth shake and watched as the largest piece fell and disappeared behind a line of trees. She knew exactly where it landed. Getting in her car, she drove to where she believed the large piece had landed. Sure enough. It was in a large muddy field. She pulled over and got out, running towards the debris. There was virtually no sign of life until she heard a soft groan. She noticed one was still breathing. “Are you okay?!” She asked in a panic. He didn’t reply but he, unlike the others, was in one piece. Hurriedly she released him from his chair he was buckled in and carefully lifted him over her shoulder, slowly carrying him to her car. She gingerly set him in the passenger seat and closed the door before entering the driver’s side. She got a strange feeling from him. Something that told her not to take him to the hospital. She took him him instead, having been very experienced in the medical field. “Please be okay. Please don’t die…” she murmured to herself as she drove home, pulling up into the driveway and getting out. She opened the door and went back to help Loki out. He was still unconscious. Both of them were muddy as well. She then set him on her bed before grabbing some towels from a laundry basket, having just done the laundry. She carefully removed his muddy shoes and had him rest his head on the pillows, a towel beneath so he wouldn’t get blood on them. She hurriedly closed the car doors and the back door which they entered. Aria knew the first thing she had to do was clean his gash on his forehead. She went to the bathroom to get a warm washcloth and got it wet, returning to him. She sat beside him and gently began cleaning the wound. She smiled softly, glad that he was still alive seeing his chest moving slowly.

Loki had spent a majority of the ride in the jet taunting the SHIELD agents that were in charge of delivering him safely to the new home base hidden in the northern mountains. The God of Chaos had gotten on the agents’ nerves very quickly and very easily, but all he’d done was taunt and tease and point out how they thought they were so wonderful by getting guard duty over the most wanted enemy of the Earth when in reality they were on what Director Fury would say was nothing short of a suicide mission. Everyone knew how dangerous Loki was. And he wasn’t called the Trickster for nothing.

But this time all he’d had up his sleeve had been taunts, so when the plane had hit turbulence and suddenly lost altitude he’d been just as surprised as those witless agents.

Problem was that as the jet had begun to break up and crash to the earth, debris had swept up into the air, knocking the back of his head hard enough that the world faded away. Any injuries sustained when the chunk of jet collided with the ground was lost to his numb darkness.

And when he felt the sting of alcohol across his forehead and his eyes slowly opened…he…couldn’t…he couldn’t remember…

"O-Oh you’re awake!" Aria explained softly. She carefully dressed the wound after cleaning it carefully. "Forgive me for waking you…though it was probably a good thing I woke you to see how you are feeling…" She was taken aback by his good looks. His emerald green eyes were positively enchanting.

"You had a nasty gash on your forehead and a few scrapes and bruises here and there…for a while I thought you were dead until I noticed you were breathing." Aria kept a calm and quiet voice, murmuring to Loki as to not aggravate him with loud talking. She had successfully removed his muddy boots and cleaned them earlier, letting him rest before attending to his wound once more.

"You poor thing…" she whispered apologetically, patting his hand softly. His hands were smooth and his skin was soft. Like a God’s.

Loki stared at her suspiciously as she continued to work, unsure if he should trust the help she was giving him or regard her as dangerous, but then he couldn’t imagine why he could possibly think she’s be dangerous. Clearly he’d been in some kind of accident and she was just trying to help him. There was no harm in that, was there?

"How… How did I get here? Where am I?"

"U-Um…you’re in my home. I was in the kitchen and saw some large aircraft go down nearby. I got in my car to investigate but from what I saw…you were the only one alive…I got you from the wreckage and drove back here. It was kind of hard because of all the mud but it was worth it seeing that you’re alive." Aria explained softly. "I was about to take you to the hospital but I changed my mind since the hospital was too far away." She smiled and gently pressed her hand to his forehead. "Hmm. No fever…does anything besides your head hurt?" She was curious. How did he survive when everyone else died? It’s unreal.

His emerald eyes widened at her explanation. “Wreckage? Aircraft? I was in a plane crash?” He groaned in pain and lifted a hand to his throbbing temples. “I don’t remember getting on a plane…I don’t… I don’t remember anything…!”

"Yes a plane. I don’t know if there was turbulence or something but you’re here now. And alive…" Aria took his hand from his head gently and caressed it comfortingly. "Just relax…" She stood up to get him a glass of water, returned and set it aside for the moment.
